Truth About Keith Urban's Reaction To Nicole Kidman's Fondess For Tom Cruise

Latest rumors claim Nicole Kidman has confessed her love for Tom Cruise in front of husband Keith Urban. Gossip Cop debunked the reports after speaking to Urban’s representative.

The actress said in an interview with New York Magazine that she got “protection” at a young age because she was married to Cruise, a “powerful star.”

Star magazine reported this statement did not go down too well with Urban.

The magazine quoted an insider saying, “He feels it’s extremely disrespectful for Nicole to be speaking about Tom so fondly. But she’s always loved her partners so fiercely, she’s probably told Keith that a part of her will always belong to Tom.”

The alleged insider then content that Urban has started worrying about losing his wife to Cruise and hence “he’s considering reaching out to Tom personally to make sure he doesn’t get any ideas.”

The magazine, however, forgets an important statement made by Kidman in the interview. She had said she was reluctant to talk about her marriage to Cruise as “I’m married now to the man who is my great love, and it almost feels disrespectful.”

On NBC's “Today” show in November, Kidman again said, “I don’t like discussing exes and all of that because I’m married. I’m very happily married. I have two little girls and I feel it’s almost disrespectful, one to Tom, and disrespectful to Keith, so I try to stay in the here and now.”

When asked about Cruise in an interview with The Observer last month she said, “I have a husband now. I feel out of respect for him I don’t want to talk about that. It has been 20 years.” The actress added, “I have come to the point where I can say: ‘I am not going to keep discussing my ex.’”

Gossip Cop reached out to Urban’s representative who said he wasn’t upset about Kidman’s statements.

Kidman and Cruise got married in 1990. Cruise filed for divorce in 2001 citing "irreconcilable differences" and also requested for joint custody of their two adopted children, Connor and Isabella.

Kidman and Urban tied the knot in 2006 and celebrated 12 years of marriage in June.

When the actress was asked about the “secret to your marriage longevity” during an interview, she said, “Not having secrets. We never tell anybody any advice about their relationship or think that we have a secret. We just approach it with humility and hope and just really love hanging out. I mean it’s that simple. We love spending time together. We have a lot of fun together and we just choose each other.”
