Miley Cyrus is rumored to still be making fun of her divorce from Liam Hemsworth.
On Instagram, one Cyrus fan professed his love for the “Wrecking Ball” singer and said that he’s claiming that 2020 will be the year when and Cyrus finally tie the knot.
The singer saw the post on social media, and she gave the fan a cryptic response.
“It probably won’t last long. But always down to try, You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take,” she wrote.
Radar Online speculated on the meaning behind Cyrus’ cryptic post, and the tabloid concluded that the former child star is making fun of her failed marriage to Hemsworth.
Cyrus and Hemsworth tied the knot on Dec. 23, 2018, and they divorced in August. But prior to this, the couple was also in an on-again-off-again relationship.
It is unclear if Cyrus was really making fun of her ex-husband in her Instagram response or she was merely stating facts. It cannot be denied that Cyrus and Hemsworth’s marriage was indeed shortlived.
Meanwhile, Cyrus and Hemsworth have already moved on from each other. So, there is no reason for them to throw shade at each other.
Earlier this year, a source told E! News that Cyrus and Hemsworth have already been separated for a few months. However, it was Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter’s steamy photos that encouraged Hemsworth to file for divorce.
“That was it for him, seeing those photos and then all the Soho House stories thereafter,” the source said.
The source’s revelation suggests that Cyrus has already started moving on from her ex-husband even before their divorce. This may also be the reason why she jumped from one relationship to the other. At present, the singer is dating Cody Simpson.
Earlier this month, Radar Online also published a story about Cyrus and Hemsworth possibly reuniting in court in January. It is only a matter of time before this can be confirmed.
