Truth About Rumors Prince Andrew Found Unconscious After Overdosing On Sleeping Pills
KEY POINTS
- Prince Andrew allegedly overdosed on sleeping pills
- Prince Andrew was reportedly spotted lying face down on the carpet at home
- Prince Andrew's sexual abuse investigation is still ongoing
Prince Andrew has been distancing himself from the media ever since news broke out that he allegedly assaulted underage girls.
Even though the Duke of York already denied the allegations, an investigation is still ongoing. And there are reports that Prince Andrew refused to cooperate with the FBI.
In a shocking claim, Globe alleged that Prince Andrew was found unconscious in his home after overdosing on sleeping pills. An insider claimed to have seen Sarah Ferguson’s ex-husband lying face down on the carpet with a prescription bottle just a few inches away.
“His pulse was barely noticeable at first, but when they got the poison out of his stomach, his functions began returning to normal,” the source said.
However, these types of sensitive claims should be taken with a grain of salt. It is unlikely for Prince Andrew to have overdosed on sleeping pills because he was just photographed in Windsor on his 60th birthday.
Despite the ongoing investigations, Prince Andrew seemed at peace and happy to be surrounded by his family and friends during his birthday celebration.
If the reports about Prince Andrew overdosing on sleeping pills were true, the news should’ve come straight from the palace. Even though the palace didn’t have anything to do with his scandal, they still released a statement to counter the allegations.
The palace also released a statement confirming Prince Andrew’s decision to step down from all of his 230 patronages while investigations are still ongoing.
“The duke has over 230 patronages. He will be stepping back from public duty and temporarily standing back from all his patronage. The duke will continue to work on Pitch and will look at how he takes this forward outside of his public duties, and outside of Buckingham Palace. We recognize there will be a period of time while this transition takes place,” the statement read.
