Truth About Taylor Swift's Secret Engagement To Boyfriend Joe Alwyn, Wedding Plans
Singer Taylor Swift was not secretly engaged to actor-boyfriend Joe Alwyn, despite rumors. Gossip Cop debunked reports stating the actor recently proposed to Swift.
Life & Style reported Alwyn proposed to the singer with a vintage engagement ring. The magazine quoted a source saying, “He’s the kind of guy who would’ve gone old-school and asked her parents first, then gotten down on one knee to propose. It’s truly everything she’s ever wanted.”
The alleged insider also added the couple was already wedding planning,” and the Swift “wants her own version of Meghan Markle’s royal wedding.”
“Taylor’s ideal ceremony would be held in a classic old church with an organ playing, and Taylor would love to walk down the aisle in a white gown with a long train. Taylor wants to feel and look like a princess and is willing to splash out a lot of cash to achieve her goal,” the alleged source continued.
The magazine then went on to say Swift has decided 12 members of her girl squad would serve as her bridesmaids and Selena Gomez was one of them.
“Taylor and Joe would both want to start the baby planning on their romantic honeymoon,” the source said, adding the couple might choose Turks and Caicos island at the honeymoon destination.
“They’re both on the same page about being young parents, wanting to have kids before they turn 30, so they’re right on track. The wedding is going to be amazing,” added the alleged insider.
The magazine, however, does not provide any details about when and where the proposal occurred. The source also claimed to know the details about the so called wedding ceremony, however, did not provide basic information about when and where it was being held.
Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Swift who completely termed the report “false.”
In June, Gossip Cop had debunked another report in the magazine that falsely claimed the two were getting married in August and the wedding would take place in Nashville. The magazine said the two would be husband and wife by the time they marked their second anniversary.
The magazine had also quoted a source saying, “They are planning to tie the knot this summer and their parents have given their approval. They’re talking about tying the knot when she’s home in Nashville at the end of August.”
The report turned out to be completely false.
However, the couple, that began dating in late 2016, seemed to be getting serious. They were recently spotted holding hands as they left the after party of Alwyn’s movie “The Favourite.” People reported they sat in the VIP area at the bash and a relaxed Swift laughed and hugged Alwyn throughout the night.
