The Truth Behind ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ Stars Joseline Hernandez And Stevie J’s Complicated Relationship
Sometime in the near future Joseline Hernandez is going to become a mom. The self-proclaimed Puerto Rican Princess, who stars on VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” is expecting a baby. Joseline announced the news on Instagram last week, eventually revealing in an expletive-filled Twitter post that her ex, Stevie J, is the baby’s father.
Joseline’s pregnancy announcement came as a huge shock because her and Stevie are currently in the midst of a very nasty split. There have also been some very confusing and conflicting reports about the status of their relationship.
It appears things started to go downhill for the former lovebirds in May when they both revealed that they were no longer together. Stevie confirmed the split by tweeting that he wanted God to bring him a “lovely, virtuous, loyal & God fearing woman.” He added, “Not now but when You are ready. #ImHappierSingle #LetHerGo.”
Joseline, meanwhile, went on “The Wendy Williams Show” to explain that part of her and Stevie’s issues was that he believed she was cheating on him with rappers Rick Ross and The Game. Joseline denied both hookups, but told host Wendy Williams that she did sleep with another woman while married to Stevie. The rapper also alleged that Stevie had a few secret flings himself throughout their three years together.
“He was so jealous,” Joseline explained. “He went after Rick Ross online, he went after The Game, he goes after all those people. We’re separated. We’ve been separated for six months.” She added, “He’s 15 years older than me, so he’s so controlling. He wants to have me like a puppet master. And I’m like, no, I gotta go. Peace out.”
Things got even murkier for Joseline and Stevie when the music producer blasted his ex in an Instagram video last month revealing that they were never husband and wife. It’s been rumored for years that Stevie and Joseline had a fake marriage, but they both denied it. In Stevie’s video he warned Joseline to “be very careful” before dropping his bombshell. “And I’m not your husband. Never have been and never will be,” he said.
Stevie hasn’t addressed his claims again on social media, but on episode 12 of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” he explained that he lied about the marriage because he was trying to keep Joseline happy. “I thought it was a forever thing,” he said during one of his confessionals.
Even though Stevie is adamant he’s not a married man, Joseline is still claiming that their marriage is real. In fact, the outspoken reality star said she has proof to back it up but has yet to present any of it. While Stevie and Joseline continue to bash each other and go back and forth over the status of their former relationship, one thing is definitely crystal clear: Joseline and Stevie’s baby will be arriving in the coming months. However, several of her VH1 cast members have already accused her of lying about being pregnant.
