'Twilight' movie school landmark demolished to construct new school
A popular school spot from the movie 'Twilight,' located in Forks is demolished.
The front wall of Forks High School was brought down as the building was demolished this month to make a new school.
The Peninsula Daily News reported a campaign aimed at raising $287,000 to save the 86-year-old facade could raise only a few thousand dollars.
Forks High School on South Spartan Avenue in the city of Forks, Washington is a real high school which serves grades 9-12 in the Quillayute Valley School District.
The school was one site in the Olympic Peninsula town visited by fans to take their pictures in Forks.
A terra cotta cornerstone and lintel reading Quillayute High School will be preserved in the new school, local media site Twilight Saga Wiki reported.
