Twitter Blasts Naya Rivera After 'Glee' Alum Arrested For Domestic Battery

"Glee" star Naya Rivera was arrested Saturday for assaulting her estranged husband Ryan Dorsey, just weeks after calling off her divorce. Twitter blasted the star for her actions, which led to charges of misdemeanor domestic battery.

On Saturday night, the Kanawha County Sheriff arrested the 30-year-old actress from her home after Dorsey told police Rivera hit him in the head and lip while they were taking their child for a walk last Saturday.

Media reports said Rivera was released after her father-in-law paid the $1,000 bail bond.

Last month, E! News confirmed Rivera had a change of heart and decided not to go ahead with her divorce. She filed a request for dismissal of the divorce paperwork, which she originally filed in November of 2016.

On Thanksgiving day, the actress posted a happy photo of the couple's son, Josey.

The photo is tagged with Dorsey's name and captioned, "Josey is the cuteeeest!! #joseyhollisdorsey #nayarivera #ryandorsey #thanksgiving."

Rivera and Dorsey first dated prior to the actress’ romance with Big Sean. When Big Sean called off their wedding a year after their engagement in 2013, Rivera reunited with Dorsey and got married to him just three months later. The couple welcomed their first child, Josey Hollis, in September 2015.

Rivera referred to Dorsey as the “best husband” when she shared a wedding photo of them on her social media account on Valentine’s Day 2015.

​“After much consideration, we have made the decision to end our marriage,” the pair said while announcing their divorce two years after marriage. “Our priority is and always will be our beautiful son that we share together. We will continue to be great co-parenting partners for him. We ask for respect and privacy for our family during this difficult time.”

Last month, Rivera briefly opened up about their reconciliation to People magazine, saying: “It is what it is, but I’m glad that my family is together.”
