Twitter Reacts To Laura Loomer, Pro-Trump Protester Who Crashed 'Julius Caesar' Play That Mocked President
UPDATE: 2:17 a.m. EDT — Laura Loomer, a pro-Trump protester, who was arrested by the police after she crashed an ongoing Shakespeare in the Park rendition of “Julius Caesar” play at Public Theatre, New York, Friday, has been released from the Central Park precinct.

Loomer has also thanked Twitter users for their overwhelming support for her, making #FreeLaura trend on social media.
Original story:
In a video uploaded by Jack Posobiec, a conservative filmmaker, Laura Loomer, an ardent supporter of President Donald Trump, can be seen rushing onto the stage at an ongoing Shakespeare in the Park rendition of “Julius Caesar” play at Public Theatre, New York, Friday.
Loomer left no doubt on anyone’s mind as to why she opted to interrupt the play when she shouted: "Stop the normalization of political violence against the right. This is unacceptable,” after walking on the stage. She managed to get her message out before the announcer called for security and the play was momentarily shut down.
The footage also showed that as the security struggled to escort Loomer off the stage, the theater was filled with people booing and yelling, “Get off the stage.” This was followed by huge cheers from the audience as Loomer was finally dragged off.

The camera, shooting the footage, swung back to Posobiec, who stood up among the audience and started likening the audience to Joseph Goebbels, the infamous Nazi propaganda minister. “You are all Nazis” and “Goebbels would be proud,” Posobiec is heard saying. He also added that the audience was to blame for the shooting of Steve Scalise, House of Representatives Majority Whip, at the congressional baseball practice, Wednesday.
Posobiec received similar treatment from the crowd, just like his fellow activist and was removed by security almost immediately.
Although Posobiec walked away from the planned protest without any charges being filed, a tweet from him shortly afterward suggested that Loomer was charged with trespassing, ending his tweet with “#FreeLaura.”
The play itself caused a lot of buzz after it was revealed that the protagonist, meant to be Julius Caesar, was a Trump look-alike dictator, dressed in a suit and tie, who gets stabbed to death by his political rivals on the stage. The intention of the play is to showcase a “Roman Empire” America, where the leader is surrounded by political unrest until his life comes to a tragic end, Mic reported.
Following the incident, “#FreeLaura” started to trend on social media as Twitter users voiced their outrage at the fact that Loomer would be arrested, following what most saw as a “peaceful” way to protest against the defamation of the president.
A number of users referred to her as a “patriot” and a "hero" who stood up against political violence when they called for the police to release her immediately.
One of the Twitter users was quick to point out that Loomer’s act falls under free speech, which was no different from the time when the cast of Hamilton had some pretty tough words for Vice President Mike Pence in November.
Another user referenced the controversial photo shoot by standup comedian Kathy Griffin where she had held up a lookalike of Trump’s severed head, stating that if anyone deserved to be arrested it was Griffin and not Loomer.
Many users also called the liberals hypocrites for not calling for the arrest of anti-Trump protest groups like Antifa, who hide their faces behind masks while taking part in violent protests.
