Tyler Perry the Richest Man in Hollywood: Forbes List

Forbes has named actor-director Tyler Perry the highest-paid man in Hollywood.

The Atlanta-based Perry topped the Forbes’ annual list of industry’s richest men, released on Monday.

Filmmakers in Hollywood are great at making money besides films, proves the Forbes list. Other talented filmmakers like Jerry Bruckheimer and Steven Spielberg are second and third, topping the list with $113 million and $107 million, respectively, after Perry.

According to the list, the 42-year-old Perry grossed $130 million in one year. He has tried his hand at almost everything, be it acting, directing, screenwriting, production, authoring or song writing.

As of June 2011, his films had grossed more than $500 million worldwide. The news comes as a gift to Perry, who celebrated his birthday Tuesday.
