The official name of the upcoming open-world action-adventure title from Ubisoft, formerly called “Gods & Monsters,” may have been revealed ahead of its official launch.

The Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee recently classified the game “Immortals: Fenyx Rising” for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC, according to Gematsu. It is believed that this is the new and official title of Ubisoft’s “Game and Monsters” game. First launched at E3 2019, the game would feature Fenyx as its main protagonist.

Last summer, the game’s build on Stadia accidentally appeared. Ubisoft described it as the game previously known as “Gods & Monsters” in a statement to Kotaku. The game developer also revealed that it plans to reveal more details about the game towards the end of summer.

‘Immortals: Fenyx Rising” is reportedly one of the five games that Ubisoft plans to release until April 2021. With the Ubisoft Forward event happening in September, game enthusiasts are anticipating that the upcoming game could launch there. Following the launch of “Gods & Monsters” last year, fans have not heard any details about the game, until today.

If “Immortals: Fenyx Rising” is indeed the new name of “Gods & Monsters,” then it is an open-world game in a world of Greek myths. It features a cartoon-ish type and whimsical take that the usual Ubisoft’s offering. The upcoming game is developed by the same studio that made “Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey,” Ubisoft Quebec.

Based on its description, “Immortals: Fenyx Rising” is a storybook adventure of the forgotten hero on a journey to save Greek gods. Players will face mythological creatures and must take down their bosses. “Explore a beautiful fantasy world where tricky trials, treacherous dungeons, and heroic feats await. The journey will be as challenging and rewarding as the final destination, and you will emerge as the hero you are meant to become,” Ubisoft said.

“Immortals: Fenyx Rising” is also anticipated to launch in PS5. Ubisoft has not yet revealed a lot of details about the game. Meanwhile, fans anticipate that the game previously called “Gods & Monsters” could arrive sometime in the first quarter of 2021.
