UFC heavyweight contender Francis Ngannou wants a superfight with UFC superstar Jon Jones.

Powerful heavyweight contender Francis Ngannou is coming off a 71-second KO win against former UFC champ Junior Dos Santos. Right after his hand was raised, Ngannou expressed his strong desire to fight for the title next.

But with Ngannou’s statements these past few weeks, it seems like the Cameroonian-Frenchman wants to accomplish more things than just the UFC heavyweight title fight.

Just about a week ago, Ngannou spoke with TMZ sports and one of the most interesting things he mentioned was a superfight with UFC’s household name, Jon Jones. TMZ mentioned that in a recent talk with Jones, the champ said that Ngannou was a “scary dude” and a fight with him will be a massive fight.

Ngannou agreed and said that even though Jones is a light heavyweight, a fight with him will be “interesting” especially for the fans.

"Personally, I mean, it’ll be a good fight. Fisrt of all for the fan, for me, yes, I mean, I saw some interest in it because even though Jon Jones is a light heavyweight, this guy has made his legacy," Ngannou said.

The 32-year-old heavyweight then continued by explaining how Jones will make a good match for him because of the champ’s physique.

“We are the same height, we are almost the same thing, I might just have a few pounds than him,” Ngannou pointed out.

While a Ngannou-Jones fight sounds very interesting, it appears that Jones would like to focus more on the light heavyweight division. In a recent talk with ESPN, Jones revealed how he feels about moving up to heavyweight and the possibility of facing his long-time rival Daniel Cormier, who is the current title holder of the said division.

“That would make the most sense. There’s still a lot of interest in me fighting Daniel Cormier for some reason. I don’t really know what it is. The first time I won by unanimous decision and the second time I won by knockout so I don’t know why people want to see us fight again so bad but at heavyweight I guess that would add a few different factors. So yeah, if that’s the fight the world wants to see, I know one thing about the UFC, we give the fans what they want,” Jones said, notes MMA Fighting.

Just a few days ago, Ngannou even said that he plans to make a switch to professional boxing soon.
