Boxing icon Mike Tyson wants UFC star Conor McGregor to reflect on his inner self.

From being widely regarded as one of the most feared man in boxing, Tyson appeared to be a much changed man now. In fact, he has been quite active in helping other athletes especially in the UFC. A few weeks ago, the former heavyweight champ took part in preparing former UFC champ Rashad Evans in his MMA return. And now, Tyson was trying to help McGregor in battling his inner demons.

In a recent talk with ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, Tyson gave McGregor a piece of advice in dealing with problems outside combat sports. Seemingly able to relate to McGregor’s recent troubles, Tyson hopes the former UFC two-division king could reflect on his wrong doings.

"Conor has to look inside himself and (say this): What happened? Why am I the way I am? And how do I stop this from continuing to be?" Tyson said.

Tyson has had his fair share of troubles with the law in the past. He was arrested for rape in 1991 and was sentenced to six years in prison in 1992. Roughly seven years ago, Tyson was also arrested on DUI and drug charges in 2012.

McGregor on the other hand, got involved in an incident at the Dublin pub. The Notorious punched an old man over a whiskey debate which took place just a few weeks after he announced his retirement from UFC.

However, someone who has spent time with both McGregor and Tyson found the good side of them. Last August, famous life coach Tony Robbins revealed the kindness behind the fearsome persona of both combat sports superstars.

According to Robbins, Tyson is such an inspiration for others as he managed to become a much better person after all the mistakes he has done in the past.

“The definition of a man or a woman is not what they did or what they were. It’s who they are. And so you look at Mike, he’s the perfect example of the extreme of one side to the extreme of the other now. And I think he’s such an inspiration,” Robbins said about Tyson.

Robbins also let the world know about the good things McGregor has done behind the camera. Apparently, McGregor has helped in raising over $800,000 for a children’s hospital in Dublin and has also been working to help boost resources for those who are fighting the homeless crisis in Ireland.
