Ukraine's Drone Delivers 'Fatal Blows,' Destroys Russia's Electronic Warfare Station [Video]

One of Ukraine's unmanned aerial vehicles destroyed a Russian electronic warfare station recently, Kyiv's Chief Intelligence Directorate said.

A special unit of the Chief Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense shared a video on Facebook, showing the damage caused to the station.

"The special unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine works to locate the enemy 24/7, operating behind their backs. This time, the enemy's electronic warfare station caught the eye of our spec-ops troops. Despite it being active, Ukrainian soldiers managed to fly the drone directly over it to deliver fatal blows to the said station," the statement read, according to Ukrinform.

Ukraine's Armed Forces have been carrying out counterattacks on several fronts, some of which have been occupied by Russia. Officials said Russia was not only losing thousands of its soldiers, but also its combat machinery.

A Russian military base in the temporarily occupied city of Nova Kakhovka, Kherson region, was recently damaged by Ukraine's troops, and nearly a dozen invaders were killed.

Since the war began on Feb. 24, the Russian army has lost more than 44,000 military personnel. On Wednesday, more than 200 Russian soldiers were eliminated. In addition to deaths, Russia also lost 1,886 tanks, 4,162 combat armored machines, 136 anti-aircraft warfare systems, 233 planes, 792 UAVs, 15 warships and 3,054 fuel tanks in the war, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (UAF) said in a report.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine also destroyed a Russian ammunition supply depot in Bilohirka, Kherson Oblast.

"The enemy lost 29 Rushists [Russian soldiers], a 203-caliber Pion self-propelled gun, 5 armored and motor vehicles, as well as an ammunition supply depot in Bilohirka. The final losses of the enemy are being confirmed," the Operational Command Pivden (South) wrote on Facebook.

Meanwhile, Wednesday saw one of the most tragic attacks in the Kharkiv region after Russian invaders launched rocket attacks on residential houses. The attack killed nine civilians and injured 35 others. Three children were among those injured in the incident.

"During the night, Russians launched massive rocket attacks on Kharkiv. Russian terrorists again targeted peaceful 'sleeper' neighborhoods with civilians," Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Syniehubov wrote on Telegram.
