Ukrainian Farmer Uses Tractor To Steal Russian Military Tank, Internet Finds It Hilarious [Video]

A video of a Ukrainian farmer stealing a Russian military tank with his tractor has gone viral on social media, with people praising the man, and calling the footage hilarious.

The video was shared by Johnny Mercer, a British Conservative politician and Member of Parliament for Plymouth Moor View, on Monday.

"No expert, but the invasion doesn't seem to be going particularly well. Ukrainian tractor steals Russian APC today," Mercer said on Twitter, sharing the seven-second-long video.

As of early Tuesday, the video has been viewed more than 4.6 million times.

The video comes as Ukraine continues to battle Russia after Putin ordered his military troops to enter the country. Despite sanctions being placed against Moscow, the Russian Defence Ministry said Tuesday the country's military forces will continue the offensive in Ukraine until its "goals are achieved," the Times of Israel reported.

Russia has been carrying out attacks on Ukraine for almost a week.

Amid all the tensions, the video shared by Mercer amused social media. The video ends with a man running behind the tank.

The video was also shared by Olexander Scherba, who served as Ukraine's ambassador to Austria from 2014 to 2021.

"Ukrainians are tough cookies indeed," he wrote on Twitter.

Many users commented on the video, hailing the farmer who tried to escape with the Russian tanker.

"None of this is funny. NONE of this. But that said in the spirit of "OMG what badasses these beyond brave Ukrainian people are"... this made me smile," one user said. Another commented: "I haven't laughed this hard in a really long time. That is fantastic!"

One of them shared a similar video, claiming it is a follow-up and shows the same farmer.

Amid the Russian invasion, stories of Ukrainians' bravery have flooded the internet.

A man in Ukraine was widely praised for removing a landmine from a road with his bare hands. The video which was shared by the New Voice of Ukraine on Sunday was viewed more than 2.5 million times. The man was seen with a cigarette in his mouth as he carefully walked away from the roadway with the landmine in his hands.
