‘The Umbrella Academy’ Season 3 First Teaser Revealed: Episode 1 Is All About The Family

The first teaser from "The Umbrella Academy" Season 3 has finally arrived teasing episode 1 of the upcoming installment. The fresh teaser suggests that the opening episode is all about the family.

The second season of Netflix’s original superhero series dropped on July 31 stars Tom Hopper (Luther), Emmy Raver-Lampman (Allison), David Castañeda (Diego), Ellen Page (Vanya), Robert Sheehan (Klaus), Justin H. Min (Ben), and Aidan Gallagher (Five) playing the role of Hargreeves siblings. These seven children came together after the death of their father to save the world.

Last season featured siblings’ second attempt to prevent an apocalypse for which they had to travel back in time to the 1960s Dallas. Unfortunately, things don’t go as planned and the siblings remain separated through time. When they do manage to come together and return to the present day, they find out that they have drastically changed the timeline.

The series ended with an epic cliffhanger whereby the siblings discover that their brother Ben and their adopted father Reginald are still alive and have created "The Sparrow Academy" with five different children instead of "The Umbrella Academy."

The first teaser of the third season of the series has hit the internet days after its renewal news. Earlier this month, the streaming giant announced that the Hargreeves family will return for much-awaited Season 3. The season will consist of 10 new episodes and the production is expected to begin in Toronto in February 2021.

Meanwhile, the teaser for "The Umbrella Academy" Season 3 reveals the name of episode 1—“Meet the Family.” The segment is written by showrunner Steve Blackman and Michelle Lovretta.

"The Umbrella Academy" Season 3 is expected to pick up from where season 2 left off and answer all the questions about The Sparrow Academy. Fans are eagerly waiting to find out who these five new children are and what does their presence in the academy means for Hargreeves siblings.

Many are speculating that the show will finally answer the questions about the other babies that were born on Oct. 1, 1989, by the women with no sign of pregnancy. Fans would recall that 43 children were born and only seven of them were adopted by billionaire Sir Reginald Hargreeves for his team of superheroes. The show is yet to unravel the story about the remaining children who never made it to the Umbrella Academy.

While an official release date for "The Umbrella Academy" Season 3 is yet to be announced, Seasons 1 and 2 are currently streaming on Netflix.
