‘Under The Dome’ Season 2 Spoilers: Will Julia Trade The Egg For Barbie In Episode 9? Watch 3 Sneak Peek Videos

“Under the Dome” will be airing its ninth episode of Season 2 on Monday, Aug. 25, at 10 p.m. EDT and by the looks of the three sneak peeks videos from “The Red Door,” it’s safe to say tonight’s installment will be chock-full of deception and dare we even say a bit of romance?

Melanie and Junior have come close to locking lips before but in episode 9 the two teenagers will share an even more intimate moment when they decide to join forces to protect the dome’s egg.

Sneak Peek #1:

In this first promo video Melanie sees Junior walking pretty rapidly away from Angie’s house.

“Junior, where are you taking it?” she asks him about where he plans on bringing the precious egg.

Junior reveals he let information about the egg slip to his dad, to which Melanie responds by rightfully freaking out.

“He’s done a lot of good for Chester’s Mill and the moment I told him…,” he says before Melanie cuts him off, “You knew you shouldn’t have?”

Junior explains that despite the town losing faith in his father he still holds on to hope that Big Jim might actually be a good, decent guy.

“As messed up as it all is I still think he was a good father once,” he says.

Melanie chimes in that “not all father’s can be who you want them to be.” And with that, she acknowledges that she too is having trust issues with someone from Chester’s Mill – and her name is Julia.

“Your dad’s not the only one with a reason to take the egg. I’ve had faith in Julia this whole time -- I still try to have it – but I don’t know anymore,” she says, confused.

And she’s not the only one! How could Julia possibly be untrustworthy?

“I think her priorities have shifted,” Melanie elaborates. “Barbie’s more important to her now.”

“So, she’s going to trade the egg for him?” Junior interjects. And as it turns out his guess may not be so far off!

Sneak Peek #2:

In the second trailer for episode 9 viewers get to watch Barbie and his father interact in an exciting scene taken place in prison.

Barbie asks his well-off dad to pull a couple more of those strings he keeps bragging about but his father says this situation is completely out of his hands. The only thing that could possibly be used to persuade Barbie’s freedom is if Julia hands the coveted egg over.

“Son, I want you out of those cuffs and the only way there’s a ghost chance of that happening is if you convince Julia to bring the egg,” he says.

Barbie’s father also revealed that it was the government who forged Barbie’s note to Julia -- not him. Is he telling the truth? Or is Barbie’s dad full of it?

Sneak Peek #3:

Well, if you think Barbie’s father is a fibber just wait until you see Julia lie her pants off when Big Jim pays her an unexpected visit. The sheriff questions Julia about the guards who are paying the dome extra special attention.

“I was driving by and we have some company again out there. I haven’t seen guards that close in weeks. Any idea what they’re doing there? You haven’t seen anything odd lately – outside the dome?” he questions.

“I’m as stumped as you,” Julia responds, unknowing that Big Jim has a very clear idea of why the guards are inches from the dome -- and it has something to do with the allegedly dead Barbie.

Big Jim pushes even further by talking about Barbie’s death, asking if Julia wants to send a team down the cliff to recover Barbie’s dead body – you know, to give Julia closure. But Julia declines Big Jim’s offer and smartly responds she wouldn’t want to endanger anyone else.
