United Airlines To Add More Flights To CES 2022 As Show Attendees Increase
As consumers are highly anticipating the in-person return of CES in 2022, United Airlines has announced that it is adding 44 new flights to and from Las Vegas in light of increasing attendees.
CES was moved to an all-digital show in 2021 over growing concerns of the coronavirus.
Organizers of the show announced in April that it will resume its in-person event in Las Vegas in 2022.
"We're thrilled to return to Las Vegas," CEO of the Consumer Technology Association Gary Shapiro said. "[We] look forward to seeing many new and returning faces."
Senior Vice President of Domestic Planning at United Airlines Ankit Gupta said in a company release that “the return of in-person conferences and events is a very positive sign in the pandemic recovery, and United is uniquely positioned to capitalize on this increase in demand.”
Gupta emphasized that “business travel is on the rebound” as the event's organizers maintain that the return to an in-person show will result in increased demand.
According to Fox5 in Las Vegas, 15,000 attendees have registered for CES 2022, and over 200 companies have secured a spot to show off their products at the massive tech show.
