The price of the BlackBerry Passport has been slashed on BlackBerry's online store in the U.S and Canada. The unlocked device is available at $449 USD in the U.S and $599 CAD in Canada.

According to Crack Berry, this is a limited period offer that involves a price cut of $50 USD and $100 CAD, respectively for U.S and Canadian buyers. The BlackBerry Passport is any unusual smartphone that features a huge 4.5-inch square shaped AMOLED screen that supports a resolution of 1440 x 1440 pixels.

It is powered with the older Snapdragon 801 chipset that produces a clocking speed of 2.2 GHz through its quad-core processor. The chipset that includes the Adreno 330 graphics is supported by 3 GB of RAM.

The internal storage available on the BlackBerry Passport is 32 GB. On external storage, it supports up to 128 GB of microSD. There is a 13 MP camera on the rear side of the device that has Optical Image Stabilization. The front features a camera of 2 MP.

The thickness of the device is 9.3 mm and it measures 128 x 90.3 mm. It weighs 196 g. The device comes with several connectivity options like v4.0 Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G LTE and more. It is fitted with a large battery of 3,450 mAh capacity.

The BlackBerry Passport is available in black, white, red and combo of gold and black. Note the unlocked BlackBerry Passport model for the U.S. audience is not compatible on cellular operators like Verizon, Sprint and U.S. Cellular.

The BlackBerry Passport comes with the Amazon App Store preinstalled. Through it, users can install Android apps and games on the device. Phone Arena states that even though the unlocked handset is available at the discounted price for a limited period, the BlackBerry online store has not mentioned expiration. Hence, the publication suggests interested buyers purchase the unlocked BlackBerry Passport quickly.
