Usos Proclaimed As 'One Of The Best Tag Teams' By WWE Legend

The Usos have reached a new level of dominance in WWE since partnering up with their cousin Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman as part of The Bloodline.

Jimmy and Jey Uso currently hold both the SmackDown and Raw Tag Team Titles, making them the undisputed kings of the division similar to Reigns being the unbeatable king of the men's singles bracket.

WWE Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin shared his thoughts on both Reigns and The Usos in a conversation with legendary pro wrestling journalist Bill Apter.

"All those Samoans can work their asses off. The Usos are just killing it. Jimmy and Jey, they were a tag team, but now they're a tag team with an identity, with character," Austin said.

"They're great as a unit, they're all related, but Jimmy and Jey just in and of themselves as The Usos, they are a thing now and they're a force to be reckoned with. They're one of the best tag teams on planet Earth right now."

Early in their WWE careers, The Usos were mainly utilized as babyfaces and featured them performing the Siva Tau, a traditional Samoan war dance, during their entrances.

The Usos would experience the highs of being WWE Tag Team Champions, but as time grew on, fans were becoming weary of them being faces and stagnation was in danger of pushing them out of the spotlight.

Their breakthrough moment came in 2016 when they finally turned heel on the September 6 episode of SmackDown Live where they were beaten in quick fashion by American Alpha, setting into motion The Usos' turn.

Fans were more than happy to embrace this new side of The Usos as they were able to have more freedom in all aspects of their on-screen characters from the way they speak, to their in-ring move sets and their general attitude.

It was a career-saving move that was initiated by Jimmy and Jey Uso (whose real names are Jonathan Fatu and Joshua Fatu respectively) themselves after bringing it up to WWE's creative team and went on to be one of the pillars of SmackDown at the time with all-time great matches with The New Day on pay-per-views.

The pair ascended to greater heights after teaming up with Reigns to form The Bloodline and have never looked back since as they continue to move forward with their near 400-day streak as champions.

The Usos currently do not have a feud as they are involved in Reigns' storyline with Drew McIntyre ahead of WWE Clash at the Castle on September 3.

While some tag teams were split over the years to varying levels of success, it appears that The Usos are going to be one of the lucky few to avoid that fate and share the spotlight together.
