Val Kilmer in tax trouble, again
Val Kilmer is in tax trouble again. The actor owes the government nearly $500,000 in unpaid taxes.
The IRS has reportedly filed a $498,165 lien on Kilmer in New Mexico seeking to collect the tax, according to contactmusic.com
This is not the first time that the Batman actor has landed in tax trouble. He recently settled a previous debt to the IRS of $538,000.
It is reported that the actor has put up his 6,000-acre ranch in New Mexico up for sale at $33,000,000. Val Kilmer has been staying in New Mexico for the past 20 years.
The actor’s representative is yet to comment on the news.
Val Kilmer shot into prominence in the 1990s with a string of action movies like Top Gun and the Batman series. He later gained critical and commercial acclaim with his roles in movies like Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and The Salton Sea. He played the music legend Jim Morrison in The Doors. He also played the iconic Simon Templar in The Saint. Kilmer was the voice of Kitt in the Knight Rider.
Kilmer is filming for the lead role in the Francis Ford Coppola film Twixt Now and Sunrise. The movie is being filmed mostly on Coppola's estate in Napa County.
