Valerie Bertinelli had a relaxing and fun Thanksgiving just days after finalizing her divorce from ex-husband Tom Vitale.
The Food Network star shared a glimpse of how she spent her Turkey Day on Instagram. She spent it with her brother, Patrick Bertinelli, son Wolfgang Van Halen, and his fiancée, Andraia Allsop, People reported.
Based on her post on Instagram, she was enjoying the day in Milan with her family. She shared a video of a room full of people eating and joking that it was the "Italian way."
She also shared a sweet picture of the engaged couple Van Halen and Allsop. In another photo, she joined the couple for a groufie. Another snap featured his brother kissing her on her temple while she was holding a glass of wine.
Thursday marked Bertinelli's first Thanksgiving after her divorce from Vitale. They finalized their divorce Tuesday.
In a tweet, she expressed how happy she was while in the airport as she gave an update about her divorce.
"I'm at the airport. About to go see Wolfie. And my lawyer just called. The papers are all signed. They're about to be filed. On 11/22/22 I am officially f---ing divorced," she whispered into the phone.
"I am happily divorced. God, finally, it's finally over," she added before giggling, "Yes!"
Bertinelli, 62, and Vitale married on New Year's Day in 2011 after dating for seven years. She filed for divorce in May, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their separation.
In the documents obtained by People, the financial planner asked for spousal support in June. He also reportedly sought to block her from requesting spousal support, in addition to challenging the validity of their prenuptial agreement. Bertinelli responded to her ex's challenge of the premarital agreement by filing a 13-page request to bifurcate her marital status from financial issues in her and Vitale's divorce.
Ultimately, the settlement resulted in Bertinelli having to pay her now ex-husband $2.2 million "in full, final, and complete settlement and satisfaction of any and all claims between them." Neither of them will receive spousal support as "set forth in the Prenuptial Agreement."
She has been open about their tumultuous relationship following their split and admitted that she had "trust issues." She said on "Today" that she couldn't see herself "ever trusting anyone again to let into my life."
