- Here are some tricks on how to easily defeat Bonemass
Bosses in "Valheim" become progressively creepier with every encounter. This very well applies to the third boss in the game named Bonemass. For players wondering how to summon and defeat this boss, this guide could be very helpful.
How To Summon Bonemass
Players need to summon Bonemass before they could fight him just like any other boss in "Valheim." To do this, they need to have ten Withered Bones, which could be found around the Swam from Sunken Crypts. Players should use the Swamp Key that they obtained from the Elder boss.
They can also use the Bronze or Iron Pickaxe to mine the crypt stairs and swim underneath to get into it if players do not have any key. Once players obtain the Withered Bones, they need to place them into their quick slots and look for the summoning altar. It is not difficult to find since it is a massive yawning skull oozing with green smoke. Players should place the Withered Bones on the skull's mouth and it will spawn Bonemass.
How To Fight and Defeat Bonemass
Bonemass is resistant to almost all forms of attacks except blunt. And to damage him, players could use an Iron Sledgehammer. This boss does lots of poison damage and summons Blobs and Oozers. To fight this, players must use Poison Resistance Meads. This cuts the length of the poison's duration on the player, making the fight much easier.
The only way players can damage Bonemass is by hitting him right to his face by swinging it with a mace. The Eikthyr buff is also crucial in helping players with their stamina consumption while they are running around. If players take damage from Bonemass, they should find a place to heal.
Players should not summon and fight Bonemass if they are not prepared. They must bring a blunt weapon, poison resistance mead, and lots of food to face him. Defeating Bonemass rewards players with a new item called the Wishbone.
This can be activated in the same way as the Megingjord or a piece of armor. When activated, the Wishbone reveals buried treasures such as ores and chests. Players should also place the Bonemass trophy on the Sacrificial Stones to get the Bonemass ability. It gives players resistance against physical damage like piercing, slash, and blunt.
