'Valheim' Guide: Item Decay And Tricks To Delete Unwanted Objects

In most survival games, players tend to pick up and store every item they encounter thinking they could be helpful in their journey. While many games allow players to delete the items in their inventory, the recently released survival game "Valheim" does not. But, there are a couple of ways to delete items and free up the limited storage space.

How to delete unwanted items

Players can free up storage space by simply throwing the item on the floor anywhere outside any establishments or outside their house and moving away from it. They have to leave the items like this and not interact or get near them for two days so that they would be discarded.

Another way is by throwing the objects in the water. The item disappears as soon as the player does this. When deleting an object using this process, players must make sure they no longer need the item because they will not be able to retrieve it once it is thrown in the water.

Alternative method to delete items

There is another way to delete items in "Valheim" and it requires using the game's console command. Players can drop all unwanted objects on the ground in an open area and press F5 to bring up the console window on the screen. After that, they should type "imacheater" on the window and key in "removedrops" to destroy all the discarded items immediately.

Like the other two methods, it is important that players should do it with extreme caution. They might want to do some testing with one or two items before clearing out their inventories using the console command process.

These are the only methods now available in "Valheim" to remove or delete items from the player's inventory. These are nifty processes that players can use if the things in their inventory do not have item decay. It is possible that the game will have a delete item feature soon through an update. "Valheim" is now available on Steam Early Access.
