For the first time in more than a decade, Valve is set to reveal a new “Half-Life” game later this week.

Not much has been said about the game, but Valve's official Twitter account holds true to the claim. “Half Life: Alyx” will be their “flagship VR game” and is set to be unveiled on November 21.

Even with the lack of information, the announcement speaks volumes on the amount of speculation that surround the “Half-Life” franchise. It's no surprise that the game has become a cult classic despite the fact that it has been 12 years since we last saw a new title in the form of “Half-Life 2: Episode 2.”

Engadget said that “Half-Life: Alyx” will be a VR-only game and should focus on “immersion.” There is also a possibility that the character's “whole body” will be exposed, and players will feel the “tension of fumbling with reloads as you face off against headcrab zombies.”

NotebookCheck on other hand gave more meaning to the Twitter teaser by sharing a leaked Pastebin conversation between video game journalist Geoff Keighley and Robin Walker who, alongside John Cook and Ian Caughley, designed “Team Fortress Classic” and “Team Fortress 2.”

There's also a third individual, but the juicy spot came when Keighley said that “Half-Life: Alyx” will be coming out on March 2020. The leak also confirmed Engadget's aforementioned claim that players will see Alyx Vance panicking amidst zombies that are in front of her.

In addition to this, the leak also pointed that “Half-Life: Alyx” will grace The Game Awards in next month, although the game will not follow “Episode 2.” It also said that its limitation to the VR hemisphere will “likely annoy many fans.”

On the brighter side of things, “Half-Life: Alyx” can boost Steam VR and its compatible hardware should the game be on their side and their side alone. Be that as it may, Valve has certainly caught the attention of “Half-Life” fans and they will surely keep their eyes on anything that will shed more light to “Alyx.”
