‘Vampire Diaries’ Season 4 Finale Spoilers: Everything You Need To Know About Delena, Klaroline And The Cure Before Episode 23 ‘Graduation’

“Vampire Diaries” fans have been looking forward to this day for weeks … maybe even months. With the season 4 finale of the hit CW show only a couple hours away, we’re breaking down all the juiciest spoilers for episode 23, “Graduation.”

The End Of The Love Triangle

In the season 3 finale of “The Vampire Diaries” Elena ended up choosing Stefan over Damon. However Elena’s transformation in season 4 changed everything – including her feelings for the Salvatore brothers.

Executive producer Julie Plec revealed to E! Online that episode 23 will have Elena come to terms with her feelings post sire bond. Was she truly in love with Damon? Did the sire bond stifle her real feelings for Stefan?

Elena Vs. Katherine

A sneak peek clip of “Graduation” showed that the hateful feelings are mutual between Elena and Katherine. In episode 22 Elena became hell bent on killing Katherine but was stopped by Stefan. Episode 23 will have her doppelganger pursuing a showdown.

“My shadow self is living a better life than I am,” Katherine tells Bonnie of Elena in the video. “So if I don’t get that immortality I may just have to get rid of her all together.”

And Katherine isn’t just talk. Julie Plec confirmed that the two will definitely have a fight that viewers won’t want to miss.

Klaroline

Will they or won’t they? Caroline and Klaus have definitely shared some sexual tension this season, but between running Tyler out of town and Klaus’ murder sprees, things just never worked out! With Klaus heading off for New Orleans in his new “Originals” spinoff series, the “Vampire Diaries” must wrap up the fan-favorite couple.

So, what will happen to Klaroline? “There’s a moment between them in the finale that basically makes it clear where Klaus stands and where Caroline stands,” Plec teased to E! Online.

TV Guide previously revealed some scoop on an “epic declaration of love” and a “duo setting off for the summer together.” Fans on team Klaroline definitely have their fingers crossed that this spoiler is referring to them!

Tyler

Tyler Lockwood has been M.I.A. for a good chunk of the season. On the run thanks to Klaus, viewers have not been able to keep up with his whereabouts. Previously showing up for prom, it’s a given that Tyler will risk his life once more for graduation – and his plot line will be resolved then! “We’ll understand what Klaus’ intentions are as they relate to Tyler and we’ll get a sense of what we might see in the future,” Plec said of Tyler and his deadly relationship with Klaus. Seems to us like Plec is hinting that things aren’t over between the two enemies. Perhaps Tyler will be taking a trip to New Orleans!

Bonnie And Graduation

A leaked clip of episode 23 shows Bonnie is a sticky situation. After her death in episode 22, Bonnie is fortunately still around thanks to the lowered veil. Failing to tell her friends that she died, Bonnie is still bent on brining the veil back up … even if it means staying dead for good. But just because she’s dead and is in a town overrun with ghosts doesn’t mean she is going to miss graduation.

Who Takes The Cure?

It’s been previously reported that someone will definitely take the cure in the season 4 finale. The question that remains is “who?!”

Between Elena’s vampire depression, the return of ghost Jeremy, Bonnie’s death, Rebekah’s desire to become human and Damon’s “mysterious wound,” there are a lot of contenders for the cure. “I think it’s going to be a surprise for everyone,” Klaus’ Joseph Morgan told DigitalSpy.com regarding who gets to take it.

While fans are speculating about who will take it, Plec was able to narrow it down. “All I can say is that a vampire will no longer be a vampire by the time we get to season five,” she told the Hollywood Reporter.

Julie Plec took to Twitter on Thursday morning to dish out some final scoop for fans. The executive producer posted: “Tonight is the night --- season finale of #TVD written by @CarolineDries and me. It’s chock full o’ nostalgia. Plus some bloody shenanigans.
