‘Vampire Diaries’ Star Ian Somerhalder Celebrates Wedding Anniversary With Wife Nikki Reed’s Love Song

Although the hit CW series “The Vampire Diaries” is now behind him, Ian Somerhalder still has plenty to celebrate. On Wednesday, the actor celebrated his second wedding anniversary with wife Nikki Reed.

In honor of their special day, the couple posted sweet messages for one another on their Instagram accounts. Somerhalder and Reed shared the same video, which featured the actor sitting in a studio while enjoying the music that was playing in the background.

However, this tune wasn’t a typical love song — it was sung by Reed. “There truly is NO better way to ring in our wedding anniversary than in this studio together listening to this beautiful voice sing these beautiful words,” Somerhalder wrote on his account.

Further expressing his excitement about the couple’s anniversary, Somerhalder revealed he was optimistic about their future together, admitting that he is hoping for a million more years of marriage to his love.

“Surprise visitor tonight in the studio. Your face is so sweet. I think you know who this one is about,” Reed wrote hinting that the song is about her husband.

The couple married on April 26, 2015, in an intimate ceremony attended by their closest family and friends. Somerhalder and Reed waited a month before sharing a glimpse into their special day, with the actress finally sharing a video from her wedding.

“You are My every dream brought to life We are A cosmic collision This is A lifetime felt in every moment I'm by your side My love My human...happy one month,” she wrote at the time.

Although it has only been two years since Somerhalder and Reed wed, it looks like the couple is set on spending a lifetime together.
