‘Vampire Diaries’ Star Joseph Morgan Dating Persia White? Couple Spotted Holding Hands After Emily VanCamp Breakup
“Vampire Diaries” bad boy Joseph Morgan seems to have found new love after his 2012 split from “Revenge” starlet Emily VanCamp. Who is the apparent new love in his life? None other than Persia White, the actress who plays Bonnie’s witch-turned-vampire mom on the hit CW series.
Wet Paint was the first to put two and two together after a photo taken at last week’s CW Upfronts showed the actors holding hands. Morgan, 32, was in attendance to promote his “Vampire Diaries” spinoff series, “The Originals.” White seemed to be on hand just to support her former co-star.
It’s possible that the pair might not be romantically linked, but just co-workers. White, 35, starred in Morgan’s short film “Revelation,” and in return he has been supporting her music career. On April 15 “The Originals” star tweeted for his fans to check out White’s song “Past Mistakes,” which played in “The Following” episode, “Havenport.”
Twitter also revealed another clue that could swing their relationship in either direction -- White posted a photo of herself in New Orleans in March. Website Fanpop.com reported that she was on the “Vampire Diaries” set for episode 20, “The Originals” backdoor pilot which featured Morgan. Was she there as a doting girlfriend and companion? Or is White’s “Vampire Diaries” going to be making the move to “The Originals?”
If the two are dating, Morgan won’t have to worry about another Emily VanCamp break up because White appears to be rooted in Atlanta. The “Revenge” actress told Flare magazine in January 2012 that their relationship ended because of long distance. “I’m working non-stop in L.A., and he’s working in Atlanta,” she explained. “It makes it impossible.”
