Lala Kent was completely unaware that her relationship with Randall Emmett was on the rocks until they parted ways.

Kent, 31, and the Hollywood producer, 50, called it quits in October. The "Vanderpump Rules" star is moving on, but an unnamed source told People she was "completely blindsided" by the end of her relationship with Randall after being engaged for over three years.

"Lala was completely blindsided by all of this and was living in the dark for so long," the tipster said. "But now she is doing the best she can to keep her chin up and pushing forward with taking care of her daughter and supporting her family."

Kent did an interview a week before their split and at the time, she spoke about her relationship with Emmett and shared her excitement about him joining her in the Bravo reality series, "Vanderpump Rules." She also said that hopefully, the public would accept them together if they saw more of Emmett.

"I know that my relationship makes absolutely no sense on paper. I am completely aware of that," she said. "I feel like as time goes on, you'll see him more, and maybe you'll think to yourself, 'OK, this does make sense.' At least that's my hope for viewers."

She also added that it would be "wonderful" having him on the show. She admitted that they never thought of showcasing their romance on TV because "there was so much judgment surrounding it in the beginning." She said that the cast members were supportive, and she was already excited to let the people take a closer look at their lives because having Emmett on the show would give the audience an overview of their relationship.

But after the interview, she scrapped his photos on her Instagram account, sparking split rumors. Shortly after that, they confirmed their split. It's unclear if Emmett would still appear on the reality show.

Kent and Emmett got engaged in September 2018 and were supposed to tie the knot in April 2020. They pushed back their nuptials due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The couple welcomed their daughter Ocean in March.

Following their split, Kent made a statement on Instagram when she promoted a book signing event for her tome "Give Them Lala."

"I love you all and I’m thankful for ALL the support. Truly. This book feels like another lifetime. But I’m thankful I get to look back on moments, to see just how far I have come," she wrote. "I am unbreakable, thanks to you all."
