Vanessa Hudgens And Ashley Benson Ask Fans For Help Making TikTok
“Spring Breakers” fans can rejoice because two of the movie's stars had a mini-reunion. Vanessa Hudgens posted a video to her Instagram story Friday featuring her former co-star Ashley Benson.
“Ashley and I are trying to figure out how to do the ‘switch’ — no, what is it called? ‘Nonstop’ TikTok challenge,” Hudgens said on her Instagram story.
Benson then leaned into the frame to add, “Help us.” They both laughed as Hudgens said, “We can’t figure it out. We’re too old.”
The TikTok challenge they are referring to is one where two people are filmed standing in front of a mirror while the song, “Nonstop” plays. At the line, “I just flipped the switch, flipped, flipped,” one person will turn off the light and the next shot shows the same two people now wearing each other’s clothes.
Hudgens and Benson both have their own TikTok accounts, but Hudgens hasn’t posted for her 73,500 followers since December 2018. Benson currently has 46,300 followers but hasn't posted a single video to her account.
The two stars have been friends since before they played the lead party girls in Harmony Korine's 2012 film alongside Selena Gomez and James Franco. Benson said in a 2013 Glamour interview that she had known Hudgens for "a really long time." She, Hudgens and the other stars of the movie only grew even closer during filming, as they shared a special bond on the set.
"All we would do is play Britney Spears and run up and down the hallway," Benson said at the time. "It was just us four girls and then all guys—the producers on the movie and Harmony. We were just going nuts in the back, and it was so much fun."
For those wondering if the pair ever completed the TikTok challenge, keep checking for updates on the stars' Instagram stories.
