Vegas Man Shoots And Kills Son, Possible Aftermath Of Two Months Of Domestic Disturbance
A 50-year-old man was taken into police custody when he was accused of shooting and killing his son on Tuesday.
The Las Vegas police responded to a shooting incident that happened at home in 6200 Burnt Hills Drive near Lone Mountain Road and Jones Boulevard, Las Vegas.
Lt. Ray Spencer told KSNV that officers had been called to the home for verbal domestic disturbance within the last two months.
The victim, the 30-year-old son of the suspect, was declared dead on the scene.
Officers received a 911 call shortly after 5 p.m. and met the suspect’s wife and the victim’s mother who told them that the suspect shot her son in their garage.
A SWAT team was called but as soon as they arrived, the suspect exited the home and was taken into custody.
Police are still investigating the incident and it is not immediately clear whether or not the case is ruled as a homicide.
