Vernee Apollo Lite For $200 Includes Flagship Specs Like Ten-Core CPU, 4 GB RAM

Vernee, a new Chinese smartphone manufacturer, is rumored to be working on a smartphone called Apollo. It is expected to arrive with monstrous specs like Quad HD screen, Helio X20 chip and 6 GB of RAM. However, the company has already revealed a lighter version of the smartphone called Apollo Lite.

The Vernee Apollo Lite costs only $200 but it is packed with flagship specs. It features a 5.5-inch screen that supports full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by MediaTek MT6797 chipset that is also known as MediaTek Helio X20 SoC. It is accompanied by 4 GB of RAM, Phone Radar reported. According to Vernee, it is the world’s cheapest smartphone that features Helio X20 SoC.

The native storage available on Apollo Lite is 32 GB. It features a 16-megapixel camera on its rear panel and it houses a selfie shooter of 5-megapixel on its front side. It also features a USB Type-C slot. It will come preinstalled with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

It is a dual-SIM smartphone that carries support for microSD card on one of its SIM slot. Even though it is priced at $200, the Apollo Lite comes with a metal unibody design that gives it a premium appeal.

Vernee Apollo is still under the works. It is expected to feature a 5.5-inch screen that will produce a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It will be also powered by Helio X20 chipset, but it will be accompanied by 6 GB of RAM. Its native storage is 128 GB and it will also feature a microSD storage slot. It will be equipped with a 21-megapixel Sony IMX230 rear-facing camera.

The only Vernee smartphone that is available for purchase is Vernee Thor. The company is running a pre-sale offer that allows users to avail the Thor handset for $99. It comes with specs like 5-inch HD screen, a MediaTek 6753 SoC, 3 GB of RAM, 16 GB native storage, a fingerprint sensor, Android 6.0, 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel rear and front cameras and a battery of 2800 mAh capacity.
