Apollo Lite is the newest midrange smartphone from the Chinese firm, Vernee. Even though it is dubbed as a midrange phone, it comes with high-end specs and impressive design. The Vernee Apollo Lite is now official and is available on preorders.

The Apollo Lite is a lighter version of the flagship phone, Vernee Apollo, that will be released soon. The Apollo Lite is a phablet device with 5.5-inch Sharp IGZO screen that supports full HD resolution. It offers a screen-to-body ratio of 72 percent. The display is shielded by Gorilla Glass 3 and it wears a full metal unibody chassis.

The smartphone is powered by MediaTek’s Helio X20 chipset that features a 64-bit deca-core processor along with 4 GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The native storage of the device is 32 GB and it also includes a microSD slot that supports up to 128 GB of storage.

It also features a USB Type-C port that supports USB-C earphones. The handset also includes a dedicated 3.5 mm audio jack. It comes preinstalled with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. However, users also install VOS operating system built by Vernee. The rear side of the device features a fingerprint reader that can be used to unlock it in 0.1 seconds.

The Vernee Apollo Lite houses a 16-megapixel S5K3P3 sensor from Samsung that is equipped ISOCELL technology. The rear camera is equipped with features like phase detection autofocus and dual-tone LED flash. The front-facing camera is of 5-megapixel.

The Apollo Lite is packed with a huge battery of 3,180 mAh capacity. The Pump Express 3 fast charging support from MediaTek makes it possible to reach 50 percent of battery power in 30 minutes of charging.

The smartphone is now available on preorders with a price tag of $229. It comes in two colors like Space Grey and Moonlight Silver. The company is allowing users to avail the smartphone with $30 discount by endorsing the phone on its forum and social networking sites.

GearBest is offering an additional discount of $30 for customers, who preorder the phone with a down payment of $30. Customers, who preorder it between June 6 andJune 13, will be provided with final discount of $60. The shipping of the Apollo Lite will begin on July 20.
