Passengers traveling on a Delta Air Lines flight from Madison, Wis. to Atlanta found an unexpected stowaway on their flight: an "unidentified winged creature."

Mike Schmidt, a passenger on the Friday morning flight, captured the incident on camera. He told CNN that he awoke from a nap to the sound of passengers screaming. Then, he saw what has been described as a bat, or possibly a bird flying over the passengers' heads before the group trapped the winged creature in the rear lavatory.

In a strange turn of events, after the footage was shot, the airline said in a statement that they searched the plane and found no evidence of the creature.
