'Vikings' Season 6: Alexander Ludwig Says It's A 'Banger'
The release date of “Vikings” Season 6 hasn’t been announced yet, but according to the cast members, the show is coming soon. Alexander Ludwig, who will be reprising his role as Bjorn Lothbrok, has teased that the final season will be a “banger.”
Ludwig wrote on his Twitter page that Season 6 is “coming soon.” The actor described it as being a “banger.” The actor was there at the San Diego Comic Con with fellow cast member Katheryn Winnick to promote the show, and he shared a picture of the two of them from the event on Instagram recently.
Commenting on the social media posts, many of the fans expressed their excitement about the show’s return. Some of the fans pointed out that it feels like they have been waiting forever for the next season.
It’s been over six months since the Season 5 finale episode aired. The episode titled “Ragnarok” was about the battle for Kattegat. The plot will continue to be about the throne and the legacy of Ragnar (Travis Fimmel).
A trailer of “Vikings” Season 6 that has been released online teased Lagertha and Bjorn preparing for another attack from Ivar the Boneless (Alex Høgh Andersen). The crippled character who thinks of himself as a god will be busy recruiting allies to fight Bjorn when the show returns.
The TV series will also take the fans to new lands, as Ivar goes on a journey. The trailer also teased a massive invasion, and the deaths of hundreds of Vikings in this new war.
One of the victims of the war is expected to be Lagertha. The character’s death was predicted long ago by the Seer (John Kavanagh). It remains to be seen which one of Ragnar’s sons will be the one to kill her.
“Vikings” Season 6 will pay homage to Ragnar, the character who has been central to the show even after his death. Lagertha, who has seen visions of his death, will continue to speak about him and his death, as seen in the trailer.
