The next trailer of “Vikings” Season 6 will be released soon. Cast member Katheryn Winnick, who has also directed one of the episodes of the show, made the announcement to the excited fans online.

Winnick, who will be reprising her role as Lagertha, shared a picture of herself with her fellow cast members of the medieval TV series on Instagram. In her post, the actress announced that the new trailer of the final season of the show is “coming soon.”

“Vikings” Season 6 will mark the end of the long running show that tells the story of the famous warrior Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) and his sons. This is also the season in which Winnick will be making her directorial debut.

In her Instagram post, Winnick said that she is “blessed” to have directed an episode with her friends and talented co-stars. With the TV series coming to an end, it remains to be seen if the actress will use her directing talents in other shows.

Meanwhile, a new still from “Vikings” Season 6 has surfaced online on Facebook. The still appears to be an emotional scene with Lagertha. The queen of Kattegat appears to have tears in her eyes after seeing someone off-screen. Is this a funeral of another big character?

Winnick was at the San Diego Comic Con, where she and the team from the show teased some details about the next season. The cast and the fans also got to have some fun like throwing axes at the event.

A video of Winnick throwing an axe in a competition has been posted on ET Canada. She was able to get the throw right while her competitor said that this is the reason why she gets to play the Viking queen.

Cast member Alexander Ludwig also tried the axe throwing challenge. According to a post by the Kevin and Bean Show, the actor bet $1 for the challenge and won it.

“Vikings” Season 6 is set to air sometime later this year. The producers are yet to announce an exact release date.
