'Vikings' Season 6: Katheryn Winnick Announces Directorial Debut Like A Queen
One of the episodes in “Vikings” Season 6 has been directed by cast member Katheryn Winnick. The official announcement was made during the recent San Diego Comic Con event by the actress.
Winnick, who will be reprising her role as Lagertha one last time on the show, has also directed an episode for “Vikings Season 6. The actress made the announcement on Instagram by sharing a picture of her sitting on a throne that was built for the San Diego Comic Con.
“So excited to announce my directorial debut on the 6th & final season of Vikings,” Winncik wrote in her post. The actress plays a character who is arguably the most popular on the show, and she has a vast fan following on social media, many of whom refer to her as their queen.
Winnick got to meet some of her fans at the San Diego Comic Con. She was joined by her fellow cast member Alexander Ludwig, who plays her onscreen son Bjorn, at the event. The actress shared a photo of the two of them at the event.
Readers who follow Winnick on social media already know about her directorial debut in “Vikings” Season 6. The actress has shared details of her work from the production set with her fans online before, but it is only now that she made an official announcement.
Winnick previously shared a picture of her wearing a hat and drinking what appears to be her morning coffee while directing an episode for the show. The actress said at that time that she was “thrilled” about her directorial debut.
Directing an episode of “Vikings” Season 6 appears to have been a fun learning experience for Winnick. She previously shared a snap of her and her colleague John Bartley rushing across the street to film a scene before losing daylight.
