Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend 2017: Dita Von Teese To Appear
The Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend, an annual four-day music festival, will take place Thursday, April 13, through Sunday, April 16, at the Orleans.
Now in its 20th year, VLV is the longest running music festival in Las Vegas. It has grown to the largest event of its type in the world, featuring bands and fans from all over the globe who come to experience Rockabilly and original '50s music, a classic car show, burlesque competitions, vintage fashion shows, dance lessons and competition, tiki pool parties, swimsuit contests, burlesque bingo, a pin-up beauty academy, a pin-up contest, over 120 vendors, a bowling event, tattoo lounge and more.
Burlesque superstar Dita Von Teese will be performing three shows on Friday and will be signing autographs at the VLV Car Show on Saturday.
More than 85 bands are to perform, including the Reverend Horton Heat, the Queen of Rockabilly Wanda Jackson, Larry Collins, Sonny Burgess, the Cleftones, The Original Planet Rockers, Freddy Cannon, Brenda Lee, Lee Rocker of The Stray Cats and more than 20 Rockabilly DJs performing nightly.
VLV is known to attract the most eye-catching, stylish, head-turning people in one place. Tickets are $35 in advance, $40 on the day. This includes all car show entertainment, including the headliner show. Children 15 and younger are admitted free. Anyone without a four-day VLV wristband can visit the car show area Saturday only, including all entertainment in the car show area. Car show area only four-day tickets may also be purchased for $50.
