NBC's "The Voice" is continuing with its Snapchat spinoff for discovering stars that don’t make it on the television show.

"The Voice on Snapchat" was first introduced in 2016 when the show and the social media app teamed up to create a mini show. Instead of the traditional in-person auditions, or those sent in via video recording, "The Voice on Snapchat" is a mini-series in which the coaches review video auditions sent online.

Winners have traditionally appeared during the premiere of the show’s season.

There are plenty of rules that apply to the competition. All videos must be submitted by those auditioning before 11:59 p.m. ET on Jan. 11. Applicants must live in the 50 states or Washington, D.C., and be 13 years of age or older. Those between the ages of 13 and 19 must have parental permission to make a submission.

Those who meet these requirements and wish to submit an entry must shoot the videos vertically and make them no longer than 30 seconds. There can be no watermarks on the videos and anyone who appears in the video who is not the person submitting must grant their permission. Additionally, the videos should either show the auditioners singing acapella or with live accompaniment, no videos with background tracks will be accepted.

The videos should actually be submitted on Voice Snaps website rather than through Snapchat. To submit a video that meets the requirements, users should go to voicesnaps.com and select the button that says “Sing your heart out.” Once they do this they’ll have to enter information like their stage name, full name, date of birth, email address, phone number and song title.

Applicants hand over all rights to the video to the sponsors. There are four rounds of the competition to decide the winner and the winner will be chosen in April.
