The war against Alpha (Samantha Morton) will begin in “The Walking Dead” Season 10, episode 8. A trailer and sneak peek scenes of the next episode have been released online, and they show the mid-season finale will be about Carol (Melissa McBride) pushing for fight against the Whisperers after they get some information about them.

A preview video of the next episode shows the heroes burying one of their own. Siddiq (Avi Nash) is the latest casualty in the cold war against the Whisperers. His death will have a big impact on the events and characters in the upcoming episodes.

A sneak peek scene shows Dante (Juan Javier Cardenas) trying to cover-up killing Siddiq. While he stalls for time, his former friend becomes a zombie.

The death is significant because another sneak peek scene shows an informant from the Whisperers is only helping the heroes because Siddiq is her last living relative. The new information will make Carol take a stand to go on the offensive.

Meanwhile, the opening scene of “The Walking Dead” Season 10, episode 8 has also been released online. It shows how Alpha convinces Dante to spy for her and sabotage the enemies quietly in order to weaken them before the war.

Dante entered the community by pretending to be attacked by zombies. Once he was accepted, he started studying the weaknesses he can exploit. As many fans have suspected, Dante has poisoned the water, and he has been passing on information to the Whisperers, which means they know about all the weaknesses of the heroes.

Alpha has promised Dante a special place in the Whisperers if he is successful in his task. However, he will have to survive Daryl (Norman Reedus) to be able to enjoy those benefits.

“The Walking Dead” Season 10, episode 8 is titled “The World Before.” It will air on Nov. 24 at 9 p.m. EST on AMC.
