Wall Street opens flat after GDP, more data eyed
Stocks were little changed at the open on Friday after GDP data showed the U.S. economy expanded slightly more than expected in the fourth quarter of last year.
Indexes were flat as investors questioned the sustainability of the economic recovery and awaited more data later in the morning.
The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> gained 2.57 points, or 0.02 percent, to 10,323.60. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> shed 0.01 point, or 0.00 percent, to 1,102.93. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> dropped 3.47 points, or 0.16 percent, to 2,230.75.
