A Walt Disney World employee was arrested after trying to lure an 8-year-old girl to a hotel for sex, prosecutors said Thursday. Frederick M. Pohl Jr., 40, of Clermont, Florida, was charged Tuesday with transferring obscene materials to a minor and attempting to entice a minor.

According to a criminal complaint, Pohl allegedly engaged in a series of online chat communications to arrange a sexual encounter with the girl. Pohl, who worked at the Magic Kingdom Park since 2010, believed he was chatting with the child and her father, but he was actually speaking to an undercover federal agent. The conversations include graphic descriptions of sex acts Pohl told the agent he would like to engage in with the young girl, NBC News reported.

Pohl, who thought he was chatting with the girl's father, also wrote online to the agent that “this is the youngest I have had.” He said the youngest previously was 15 years old, Heavy.com reported.

According to the complaint, Pohl also sent the undercover agent nude photos of himself and asked him to show them to his “daughter.” He later arranged for them to meet at an Orlando hotel. When Pohl arrived at the hotel, he was arrested, according to the complaint, which added he was in possession of condoms and a child-sized pink dress.

“This case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations. It will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michael P. Felicetta. Anyone with additional information should contact Homeland Security Investigations at 1-866-DHS-2ICE (347-2423),” prosecutors said.

If convicted, Pohl faces a maximum penalty of life in federal prison.

This was not the first time Pohl had a run-in with law enforcement officials. According to court documents, Pohl was convicted of check fraud and sentenced to probation in April 2004. In December the same year, Pohl was convicted of grand theft, a felony, and again sentenced to probation.

Pohl was also previously investigated by Homeland Security Investigations, according to the complaint.

In October 2007, Pohl tried to set up a meeting with a girl, who he thought was a 13-year-old Canadian, but was actually a Vancouver Police Department detective. According to the records, Pohl sent child pornography to the agent, who he thought to be the girl, via Yahoo Messenger. However, it remained unclear why Pohl was not arrested in connection to that investigation.

According to his Facebook page, Pohl graduated from Bensalem Township High School in 1997. He also attended Bucks County Technical School.
