Was Floyd Mayweather Robbed? Girlfriend Princess Love Set Up Robbery At Boxer's Home, Had Affair With Ray J: Report
A source connected to Floyd Mayweather Jr. claims that the 37-year-old boxer’s former girlfriend set him up to be robbed on the night of his fight with Canelo Alvarez.
The unnamed source told Larry Brown Sports that Princess Love, Mayweather’s former girlfriend, conspired with an accomplice to rob one of his homes on Sept. 14, the same night that he defeated Saul “Canelo” Alvarez. According to the report, thieves stole eight Rolex watches, nearly $10,000 in cash and several “other items” from one of Mayweather’s Las Vegas homes. Moreover, Princess Love probably was staying at the home prior to the robbery.
Princess Love purportedly attempted to deny her role in the robbery, going as far as to blame the theft on one of her friends, Larry Browns Sports reports. However, Mayweather spoke to that friend, who admitted that Princess Love had set up the robbery. In addition, the unnamed friend reportedly told Mayweather that Princess Love was having an affair with rapper Ray J.
According to Larry Brown Sports’ source, Princess Love and Ray J vacationed together in Miami “a few months ago,” and began sleeping together. Princess’ Instagram account, which contains several photos from the Miami vacation, seems to confirm that rumor.
In one photo, Princess Love wears the same bikini that she was seen wearing in a widely circulated photo of her and Ray J, Larry Brown Sports notes. Mayweather was apparently unaware of the affair until Princess’ friend told him about it. Ironically, Ray J often identifies himself as a member of “The Money Team,” a phrase reserved for members of Mayweather’s inner circle.
Rapper 50 Cent, Mayweather’s former close friend and business associate, attempted to warn the boxer about the Princess Love-Ray J affair. On Sept. 28, 50 Cent took to Instagram to post a photo of Ray J, which was accompanied by a cryptic message. “Damn Champ, Ray J like this on dat hoe. Time to repo. You already know,” he wrote in the post.
Then 50 Cent also posted a photo of Princess Love with a similar caption. “I GOT FLOYD, I GOT RAY J at the same damn Time,” he wrote.
Larry Brown postulates that 50 Cent’s claim that it was “time to repo” referred to a “contract” that Mayweather institutes with all of his women. According to the rumors, women have to return any gifts or jewelry that they received from Mayweather in the event of a breakup. This would also explain why Princess Love, who seemed to be situated as Mayweather’s “number one” girlfriend, would be motivated to orchestrate a robbery of one of his homes.
Mayweather has yet to directly address the rumored robbery, but a note posted to his Instagram account seems to reference a failed relationship. “When you to [sic] take a broke person out of the slums and give them a chance at bettering themselves. In due time their true colors will eventually reveal itself. That’s why they say, leave trash in the garbage for bums to dig through because you can find yourself hanging around garbage so much you will forget how rotten it is,” Mayweather wrote.
If Princess Love’s rumored role in the Mayweather robbery turns out to be true, it might not be the first time that the former stripper was involved in such a situation. According to Larry Brown Sports, Princess once dated a man who kept “large amounts of cash” at her house — before the money disappeared.
