Washington State School Shooting: Shooter at North Thurston High In Custody, None Injured

Emergency dispatchers received reports of a shooting at North Thurston High School in Lacey, Washington, on Monday morning. Few details have been confirmed other than the shooting took place at 7:30 a.m. PDT.
At 7:55 a.m. local time, the Lacey Police Department posted a tweet, confirming officers were at the scene of the shooting. No injuries were reported, and authorities said they had the shooter in custody.

A number of students tweeted about the shooting, with one posting a photo of a police car at the scene. An unidentified student told KCPQ-TV on Monday that when she arrived for class Monday morning, people were running out of the school, screaming “shooting.”
Lacey is a city in Thurston County, Washington, just east of Olympia, the state capital. Lacey has a population of approximately 44,919 and its area is 16.5 square miles.
