Watch that brings back old world charm
If you are tired of the modern looking watches then check out the latest traditional looking wristwatch from Carl F Bucherer - the new Manero ChronoPerpetual. The new model features a precise chronograph with the popular flyback function. A tachymeter scale completes the range of practical functions. Manero ChronoPerpetual is an interesting perpetual calendar model from the Swiss watchmaker. Interesting because all the calendar features including date, day of week, month, leap year indicator, moon phase have been squeezed onto a dial and are quite legible. The designers achieved this by incorporating different levels and surface finishes. The dial might look a bit busy but the watch itself is a balance of form and function. The letters and numbers are easily readable and the chronograph hands are in a discreet black.
The casing design is exquisite and with smooth lines in satin and polished finishes. The center of the classical silver-colored dial is matt, while the chronograph counters and the minute division ring are brushed, creating an attractive play of light. The moon phase indication is contemporary in design, with an anthracite-colored background and a silver-colored moon disk. The stainless steel pieces are $31,000 for one and in rose gold it is for $46,200.
