Season 2 of YouTube Premium’s dance drama, “Step Up: High Water,” doesn’t come out until March 20, but International Business Times has the exclusive premiere of a fun, behind-the-scenes clip for you right now.

Based on the hit “Step Up” movies, the show centers on students trying to make their dance and music dreams come true while studying at an Atlanta performing arts school. In the new clip, which you can watch above, guest choreographer Travis Wall shows how he put together one of the new hip-hop dance routines for Season 2.

As both a past competitor and choreographer on “So You Think You Can Dance,” Wall was more than ready to take on this new gig. Still, creating a hip-hop piece was “definitely a stretch for me,” he says in the video.

“But it really has been such a great process to work with the dancers, and we’re just vibing off each other,” he says of the experience overall.

The “Step Up: High Water” cast members have nothing but great things to say about working with him because they really enjoyed seeing his creation process and learning the routine.

“The dance number put on by Travis was the most challenging. It’s that contemporary physicality that you have to embody,” Marcus Mitchell (Dondre) says in the clip.

As for Jade Chynoweth (Odalie), she says it’s “amazing” to see him work and “not just seeing the final product of his dance number but to see how he creates his pieces.“

For Petrice Jones (Tal), it was Wall’s “very special way of creating dance that makes you understand the feeling of the piece” that has him so happy in the clip.

All of this is just a little preview of the exciting choreography to come when “Step Up: High Water” Season 2 releases on YouTube Premium on March 20. If you want to check out more intense dance numbers before that release date, you can always watch Season 1 of the show for free online on YouTube from March 15 to March 19.
