[WATCH] NBC Drops 'Manifest" Season 2 Teaser, 'Save The Passengers'

NBC's "Manifest" just dropped a Season 2 teaser that'll make fans question everything they thought they knew.

Let's take a step back and remember the major cliffhanger fans were left with following the Season 1 finale. Long story short, viewers saw Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh) rush back to her apartment where Jared (J.R. Ramirez) and Zeke (Matt Long) are in a scuffle. Just as Michaela returned to her apartment, a gunshot rang out off camera. So who took a bullet?

"The answer will be resolved early in the season premiere," Jeff Rake, an executive producer of the show told TV Insider.

Until then, fans can look for clues in the teaser, which was cleverly released on August 28. Get it? 8-2-8.

The "Manifest" Season 2 sneak peek places the cast back on their missing flight.

"Why are we back on Flight 828?" Michaela asks as the flight journeys through turbulence.

It seems like the clip is just a flashback until a passenger who wasn't on the original flight comes into view -- Zeke. Then, seemingly bracing himself, Cal tells his aunt, "Save the passengers."

And that's what fans are left with: Another cliffhanger and a whole lot of questions to add to the ones they already had following the first season. Unfortunately, fans will have to wait a few more months to get answers, but that also leaves a lot of time for NBC to drop some more clues and for viewers to do a Season 1 binge.

"Manifest" Season 2 returns in the spring of 2020 on NBC. No premiere date has been announced.
