WWE has accidentally shown wrestlers performing at WWE SmackDown on FOX just chilling and chatting with each other inside the ring while waiting to go back on air during TV commercial break.
The Friday night’s edition of WWE SmackDown on FOX just became a little more interesting. Aside from the fact that the matches were held at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando without any fans due to the fear of the spread of the coronavirus, a footage was accidentally shown on live TV in which wrestlers were seen just chatting and roaming around the ring during commercial break.
Since there was nobody in the arena, the performing wrestlers may have felt there was no need to keep the matches going during commercial breaks. Logically, there was nothing wrong about it and that could’ve been totally fine if the live feed didn’t come back too quick. However, due to some sort of a technical issues, it suddenly showed the 1st match of the night with Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross against Sasha Banks and Bayley just chilling in the ring.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com shared the video below where four entertainers pausing and waiting for the show to come back from commercial break.
Though COVID-19 disease continues to impact the wrestling world, WWE has decided to boldly move forward with WrestleMania 36 . As expected, this call generated controversies especially following President Donald Trump’s declaration of a national state of emergency.
However, WWE defended its controversial decision not to cancel or postpone WrestleMania in the face of a now national emergency by confirming it also has a contingency plan, Wrestling Inc. reported.
“While we remain committed to hosting WrestleMania at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday, April 5, we are putting contingency plans in place in the event that it is canceled by government officials, civil authorities and/or local venues,” WWE said in one of many statements released from the promotion since the onset of the pandemic.
WWE even revealed the stacked WrestleMania 36 fight card which includes the WWE Championship match betweeen Brock Lesnar and Drew McIntyre, Universal Championship Goldberg and Roman Reigns and a John Cena vs. "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt match.
According to WWE, Monday Night Raw will also proceed but with no live audience.
“This Monday night, Raw will air live as regularly scheduled and emanate from WWE’s training facility in Orlando, Florida with only essential personnel in attendance. The event was originally scheduled in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,” WWE wrote.
