WWE’s biggest show of the year has not been canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic. At least not yet.

WrestleMania 36 remains scheduled to take place on April 5 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Tampa mayor Jane Castor said in a news conference Thursday morning that no action would be taken regarding WrestleMania right now because it is still weeks away.

WWE is still currently scheduled to host “SmackDown Live” Friday night at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena. It has been reported that the show could be moved to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.

“WWE has not cancelled Friday Night SmackDown in Detroit, however, based on the current situation, we are putting contingency plans in place in the event that upcoming WWE shows are cancelled by government officials, civil authorities and/or local venues,” WWE said in a statement.

Brock Lensar and Goldberg are set to highlight the top championship matches at WrestleMania. John Cena and The Undertaker are also expected to wrestle at the event.

More than 82,000 fans attended WrestleMania 35 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey last year. The event has drawn at least 70,000 people in 13 straight years.

Raymond James Stadium has a capacity that’s expandable to 75,000.

The NBA suspended its season indefinitely Wednesday night when Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for the coronavirus. Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell has also tested positive.

Several college basketball conference tournaments have been canceled. The NCAA Tournament, which is scheduled to start Tuesday, might not be far behind.
