The Weeknd Is 'Upset' About Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber's Meeting, Source Says

The Weeknd is reportedly not happy that his now-ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez is meeting up with Justin Bieber.

According to several sources, The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, is aware of Gomez and Bieber's meetings over the past few weeks. But this did not stop the "Starboy" singer from being "upset" over his lady love hanging out with her ex-boyfriend. "Abel is upset about Selena hanging out with Justin, especially twice in the same week," the insider told E! News.

On Oct. 22, Bieber was spotted at Gomez's home in Studio City. He reportedly arrived in his white G-Wagon. After about 10 minutes, the "Bad Liar" singer was seen entering her property. They reportedly reunited with their mutual friends at the party.

On Sunday, Gomez and Bieber were seen hanging out together again, grabbing breakfast at JOi Cafe in Westlake Village, California. The pair was seen talking, but there was nothing romantic going on between them.

"Justin and Selena came in by themselves around 9:30 this morning. They grabbed breakfast, blueberry smoothies with whipped cream, and were just talking — none of the staff really recognized them. Justin paid for both of them, they looked to be in a good mood, they just sat at a table and chatted for a while, no hand holding or anything, the conversation seemed lighthearted," an insider told Us Weekly. "They sat at a table inside where they had a little more privacy. They stayed for about 25 minutes before leaving together."

Prior to Gomez and The Weeknd's split, an insider revealed that the "Fetish" singer didn't want to upset her beau. "She is trying to not overdo it with seeing [Bieber]," a source told E! News. "She doesn't want to upset Abel."

As for Gomez and Bieber's reunion, another insider explained that they just reconnected because they can relate to each other's experiences. Both have gone through the exhaustion of touring and are dealing with anxiety and pressure. But this does not mean that they are rekindling their past romance.

"They have always had a strong connection, and they are leaning on each other as friends. They are both there for each other to talk and support one another," the insider explained.

But although Gomez and Bieber are just friends at the moment, some believe that this could "change at any moment" considering their history together. "They both have a long history with each other so they will always have a place in their heart for one another," the insider added.
