Wells Adams Addresses Rumors Claiming He Is The Next 'Bachelor'
Wells Adams may return to the small screen to find love again in the new season of “The Bachelor.”
New rumors have claimed that Adams, who appeared in JoJo Fletcher’s season of “The Bachelorette,” will star in “The Bachelor” Season 22. However, according to him, ABC has not contacted him at all regarding becoming the next Bachelor. However, if he does get offered the gig, Adams said that he would have to consult his loved ones before signing on for the show again.
“No one’s talked to me about it,” Adams told Entertainment Tonight. “It’s something I wouldn’t take lightly and I’d have to speak to my family about. I have a big family, four siblings, nieces and nephews. Your family has to be a part of that world. I’d want their blessing before I would consider it.”
Although Adams has not made up his mind about possibly starring in another season, some alums believe that he is the best person to star in “The Bachelor” Season 22. “Bachelor in Paradise” couple Carly Waddell and Evan Bass, who recently wed and are now expecting their first child together, are rooting for Adams.
“I think Wells [Adams] would be the greatest dark horse candidate,” Bass told ET. “Dean [Unglert] is too young. Peter [Kraus] was on a mission to be the Bachelor, which if he makes it, good for him, but he was smart. That guy, he said all of the right Bachelor things to say, and kudos to him for doing it... but I think Wells would be a great choice.”
Aside from Adams, there are rumors that former “Bachelor” Ben Higgins may return to the reality dating show after his split from fiancée Lauren Bushnell. However, just like Adams, Higgins is not sure if he is on board with the idea of finding a new love on the show.
“I don’t want to say I wouldn’t, but I can’t say I would, either,” Higgins told Us Weekly. “Right now, there are things in my life that I feel passionate about. My buddies and I have a blog, The Mahogany Workplace. And my friends and I started Generous Coffee. It’s a for-profit company that supports causes that make the world better. So, this season of ‘The Bachelor’ feels too soon. I’d be sacrificing things that I don’t want to neglect.”
